A Suspension of Space and Time

A Suspension of Space and Time is an experimental virtual reality project. It utilizes virtual reality to create a world that exists on the edge of comforting and creepy for the viewer to explore alone. This world features a nondescript American suburb, borrowing the iconography of the 1950's American dream. While this setting is usually filled with people, here it is completely empty, leaving room to contemplate what it means to be alone there and what the space symbolizes when it is isolated. I am fascinated by three-dimensional places that only exist in the minds of people and now, with the rising popularity of virtual reality, there is a new kind of nonexistent space to explore.
