BFA in Art & Design

The purpose of this project is to abstract the forms of animals and recognizable objects as far as I can. Instead of presenting a clear, salient image with an intended focal-point, I aimed for this work to be as sprawling and polluted as possible-with no starting point or ending point. I want observers of this work to dive in with their eyes, following a new visual maze every time they see it. I wanted to present an ecosystem of subjects tied together through absurdity and grotesqueness. As observers choose a path through the work, they balance these two extremes and achieve a flow when viewing, a calm stream of consciousness though chaos paralleling my own journey in constructing it.
