A Familiar Captivity
The identity of blacks is an astonishment. It is anything but clear and when viewed from any angle, it’s compelling, intricate, and demanding of careful examination. Viewing the black narrative in the lens of multiplicity is necessary to understand the condition of blacks today. Each fiber woven into the narrative of blacks is essential to the image we see now. The outcry to the past, present and future is a result of each component of black history. If we don’t carefully examine these elements, and rationalize reality based on the entirety of the chain of events, the reasonable demands of the oppressed will never be heard or, more important, understood.
History is an intricate tapestry of moments that come together to tell one story. There is a simple story about blacks that has been warped, redacted, and diluted. When we string these occurrences together, we have a better chance of reaching the conclusion of the matter.
