acharné

acharné (which translates to brave and relentless in French) is a line of sex toys revolving around sex positivity and sexual empowerment. Through my research, I have come to the realization that most branding for sex toys is timid - the type of branding that is meant to suggest that what’s inside the box is meant to be a secret. acharné is aiming to do the opposite. I want my customers and audience to know that it’s ok to buy a vibrator! Its normal! And it’s even more fun to buy a vibrator that has fun packaging that comes with stickers and a little booklet all about sexual empowerment including some fun positions to try with your new toy. Doesn’t that sound better? Society is beginning to challenge taboos around sex and changing the narrative from being shameful to being a mainstream idea. I am trying to figure out how creating a sex positive brand can broaden my understanding of sexuality and womanhood. This is definitely a personal project, but I hope young women everywhere will have the ability to relate to it, learn from it, and take an interest in it.
